while it is our hope that you’ll be completely satisfied with your purchase at stowed, we will give thoughtful consideration to your request for a return, exchange, or credit of our products.  unfortunately, all upholstery, modular and custom / build-to-order and other special orders are non-returnable.  all bent wood accent chairs are made to order, and are non-refundable.  for orders that are returnable, you may return your order in accordance with return polices and instructions below within 30 days of your receipt of merchandise.

 please be sure to inspect your product upon receipt.  we can not accept returns, process exchange for any damages weather because of shipping or a product defect if it is reported more than 5 days subsequent to receipt.  please be sure to inspect your order carefully. 

RETURN PAYMENT POLICIES

returns are refunded in the original payment form for the merchandise price, less shipping and handling, and a 30% restocking fee.  if an order is placed and does not shipped, you will only be charged the restocking fee and not return shipping.  if you would like to exchange a product or receive a store credit, there are no restocking fees.  once you receive your order, and you decide you would like to return or exchange it, you will be responsible for any return shipping costs.   shipping and handling charges are non-refundable, unless the item has not yet shipped, is received is damaged, defective or incorrect.  we recommend that all return shipments be insured.  all returns must be received in new condition and in the original packaging.  taxes charged are refunded in accordance with state and local laws. returns sent that arrive with postage due will be returned to sender.

all of our products are handmade in indonesia, and because of unprecedented import congestion and backlogs, our estimated delivery dates may change.  While we do our best to give accurate estimated delivery times, we are unable to affect delays caused by import congestions, vessel schedules and overseas bottlenecks.   these delays are not a valid reason to waive our restocking fee.  we hope you understand.

 

 

INSTRUCTIONS FOR RETURNS

returns are only accepted within 30 days of customer’s receipt of their order.

  1. email shop@stowedhome.com and include:
    1. order number
    2. your name
    3. product number / name
    4. quantity
    5. reason for the return
  2. pack items in original boxes and packaging 
  3. complete and return the enclosed customer return form
  4. if your product arrived via fedex, we will email you a shipping label for the return shipment.
  5. if your product arrived via white glove service, we will send you instructions and possible pick-up times. 

in order for us to process your return, items must arrive to our warehouse in new condition, so please re-packing your products carefully in all original packing materials.

 

CUSTOM ORDERS & UPHOLSTERY

custom orders are made to order especially for you and may only be canceled or changed within 24 hours of submitting the order.   leather and wood colors not available online are custom.  all accent chairs are made to order and are custom. 

upholstery orders are final sale and we not accept returns on these items.  

 

SALE ITEMS

sale items are not returnable or exchangeable, except for manufacturing defect. all sales are final for any discounted items offered on floor model and sample sales, or otherwise discounted because they are slightly damaged or have imperfections, are final and may not be exchanged or returned.

 

CANCELLATIONS

custom orders may be canceled within 24 hours of submitting the order.

 

for all online orders, when you submit your order online, it is transmitted to our fulfillment center within the hour, and once transmitted, it can no longer be modified in any way. we hope that this method works to your advantage so that you are able to receive your order quickly.  however, if we are unable to cancel your order, you can always return your order to us for a full refund of the merchandise value, less a 30% restocking fee.  if the order has not been shipped, you will not be responsible for outbound and return shipping.

our goal is to provide accuracy in all prices, delivery rates and other information. all prices are subject to any applicable taxes according to state and local laws. availability, prices and delivery rates are subject to change. there may be errors in the prices, descriptions or images of certain merchandise, and we reserve the right to restrict orders of those items and correct any errors, inaccuracies or omissions.

 

IMAGE, CRAFTMANSHIP & WOOD DISCLAIMER

we do our best to show the most accurate digital images and colors of merchandise possible. however, due to differences in computer monitors and factors out of our control, we cannot be responsible for variations in color between the actual product and your screen.

in addition, our products are artisan crafted and no two are exactly alike. given their hand-crated nature, slight variations in shading and size are inherent to design. because we use natural woods, changes in climate, temperature and season may affect the size of the wood and the size of the cracks.  in colder months, cracks may grow and warmer months, they will expand. Any changes in the wood shape, size and cracks are inherent in wood products and are not a product defect.  we do not accept returns because of such changes.
